This year's conference, to be held May 19th through the 22nd, is an officially designed centennial event. As part of that designation, the conference will highlight the history of airports and aviation in Arizona.
For the first time, the Association is planning a statewide fly-in to be held in conjunction with the conference on Saturday, May 19th at Ryan Field. The fly-in, also designated as an official centennial event, will also highlight Arizona's aviation history. The Association has invited other aviation groups to participate in the fly-in event, which will include breakfast, static displays of aircraft and aviation history displays.
Both events are being co-hosted by the Tucson Airport Authority. For further information on the AzAA Conference, visit www.azairports.org. More information on the fly-in can be obtained from co-chairs Scott Driver, Ryan Field Airport Director or Kim Stevens at kim@stateaviationjournal.com.
