Arizona Airports Participate in Statehood Event
The Arizona Airports Association, (AzAA) participated in Arizona's 100th Statehood Day celebration Tuesday, on the lawn of the state capitol by providing information on the history and economic impact of the state's public use airports.

Dee Anne Thomas, Marketing & Communications Specialist and Jeff Tripp, Airport Projects Supervisor, both with Falcon Field in Mesa, provided airport information to attendees of the Centennial celebration.
AzAA's upcoming Spring airports conference, which will be held May 20th - 22nd, in Tucson, has been designated an official centennial event. That designation is based on AzAA's plan to showcase the history of airports and aviation at the annual conference.
For the first time, in connection with the conference, AzAA is hosting, along with the support of the Tucson Airport Authority, a Statewide Centennial Fly-In to be held at Ryan Field on Saturday, May 19th. "We hope to involve as many aviation organizations as possible," said Kim Stevens, AzAA member and Co-Chair for the fly-in. "Arizona has an amazing aviation history and we hope to promote some of that history with displays of historical aircraft and information at both the fly-in and the conference."
More information on the AzAA conference and fly-in can be found on the AzAA website at www.azairports.org or contact Kim Stevens at kim@stateaviationjournal.com.
